Curator and artist Gean Moreno (New York, 1972) has made a selection of 64 artists of the 130 that are part of the Archivo de Creadores de Madrid to show their documentation on Archimobile on occasion of its last trip to Centro Cultural Español de Cooperación Iberoamericana en Miami.

"Presenting objects as images in an archive is always a tricky affair. Even when it comes to photographs, as examples in that medium increasingly engage its physical features (scale, support, finish, etc), the challenge is to convey enough information to make these artifacts imaginable as they may be when encountered physically. The criterion, then, for selecting artists from the Archimobile digital archive to present as part of the Archimobile in Miami had to pivot on what I thought were the objects that could best be “captured” as more than merely compressed data. Beside my personal likes and dislikes, it was important to preserve the integrity of the images/works. They should insinuate what they may be like spatially, phenomelogically. In the absence of the actual works, it was important for them to be imaginable in relation to our bodies". Gean Moreno.
